After making the top down city crime-em-ups that were GTA 1 and GTA 2, Rockstar took the leap to the third dimension for GTA 3 and knocked it out of the park in all areas, practically creating a genre of open world city games overnight. A huge city to roam around in with loads of freedom to just cause mayhem and escape the police, find packages, jumps, rare vehicles, or even just pursue the story of revenge. A legendary game and still fun today.
